Program Profile: Excavator Operator
How long is this program? Our Excavator Operator program is four (4) weeks in length.
What will I learn? Throughout the course students learn a number of essential operating skills. Our curriculum covers topics such as: Pre-operating Inspections, Maneuvering and Set-up, Trenching, Ditching, Ramps, Digging Basements, Mass Excavations, and much more!
How many students will be in my class? Our maximum class ratio is nine (9) students to one (1) instructor.
How does a CSC Heavy Equipment program differ from programs at other schools? At Commercial Safety College we teach our Heavy Equipment program in modules. We teach each piece (Excavator, Loader, Backhoe, Dozer) seperately to allow students to focus their efforts and receive the amount of training to satisfy Entry Level Operating standards. With no obligation to take all four modules, students have the freedom to design the training that meets their goals.
What will I receive upon successful completion? Successful graduates of our Excavator Operator program receive certification as an “Entry Level Excavator Operator”. Our school is a registered private career college with the Department of Labour and Advanced Education, and is approved to offer this certification.
