How long is this program? Our Straight Truck (Class 3) driver training program is three (3) weeks in length.

When does this program start? We have start dates monthly!
What will I learn? Throughout our program, students learn the essential skills for operating safely on the road. Our three (3) week program is a balanced mix of on-road driving, maneuvering skills, pre-trip inspections, air brakes, and professional driver education.
How many students will be in a class? At Commercial Safety College, we believe in keeping class sizes small. To maximize the amount of personalized instruction time, we have set a ratio of three (3) students to one (1) instructor for this program.
Is this program “industry-approved”? Commercial Safety College prides itself on the positive relationship we have with the transportation industry. We have an on-going relationship with many of the companies that hire our graduates. In addition, our program has been fully approved by the Private Career Colleges division of the both the Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island governments.
What are potential career paths with this training? A Class 3 license can lead to a career in straight truck driving (local, regional, or long haul), home heating fuel delivery, construction (concrete mixer, dump truck, boom truck, etc.), waste management, municipal/provincial public works, and much more.
What will I receive upon completion of this course? As a signing authority for the Nova Scotia government, we are able to road test our students. When a student successfully completes our program they have the documentation required for a Class 3 license. In addition, students receive certification for their air brake and PDIC courses.
