Funding Options

As a Registered Private Career College, Commercial Safety College students are eligible for a number of funding options.

Skills Development (Employment Nova Scotia) –

For prospective students currently on EI (or have had a claim in the last few years), there may be funding available through Employment Nova Scotia. This funding is accessed via an established process with Nova Scotia Works Career Resource Centres,

Canada Student Loans / Nova Scotia Student Assistance – 

As a private career college on the list of federally designated educational institutions, students taking a minimum of 12 weeks of training (Tractor Trailer Internship or Heavy Equipment Operator) may be eligible for a student loan through the federal and provincial governments. Learn more here!

Student Line of Credit – 

Being on the list of federally designated educational institutions allows our students to access bank student line of credit programs. A credit check or co-signer is often required to be eligible for this funding source.

RRSP (Lifelong Learning Plan) – 

The Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP) allows you to withdraw amounts from your registered retirement savings plan (RRSPs) to finance full-time training or education for you or your spouse or common-law partner. Learn more here!

RESP (Registered Educational Savings Plans) – 

As a registered private career college on the list of designated institutions, a student’s RESP can be used toward the tuition of our training programs. Learn more here!

Industry Sponsored Training / Canada Jobs Grant  –
